Come whale watching on Rathlin II!
The Sapphire Coast is one of the few places in the world you can see whales feed during their southern migration. Whale watching charters sail from Merimbula and you can be among the pods within minutes of leaving port.
Whale Watching Season
The number of whales coming to our waters have been increasing each year and the season is getting longer. The best time of the year to see them is from late September to late November, when they are south bound for Antarctica with their young.
The whales are in good company as shearwaters also undertake their migration at this time and the resident seals, dolphins and penguins are always entertaining.
Don’t be fighting for the best viewing position. Rathlin II is the best boat in Merimbula to view whales. Plenty of room with no overcrowding. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, water and also some snacks available. Merimbula’s best whale watching service.
